Only IDS national members are eligible to join local chapters; therefore,
to join Wine Country IDS you must first apply to IDS national and
pay the dues corresponding to your level of membership.

There are six levels of membership available to individuals through IDS
National. They are listed here with the corresponding dues associated
with each level of membership. For more information about joining IDS
National please call 1(888) 884-4469--toll free.

Once you have officially joined IDS National you will be eligible for
membership in the IDS Wine Country Chapter. There are six membership
categories locally which correspond to the six levels of membership
nationally. There is an additional fee to join the local chapter as listed
below by membership level.

Professional: (annual membership fee $299.00)
For persons who either A) successfully complete the Council for
Qualification of Residential Interior Designers (CQRID) examination;
or B) have a current certification with another nationally recognized
design association.

Associate: (annual membership fee $225.00)
For persons with four or more years experience in interior design; or a
combination of education in interior design from an accredited interior
design education program and practical interior design experience to
equal four or more years.

Affiliate: (annual membership fee $175.00)
For persons with less than four years experience in interior design; or
persons in occupation (i.e., decorator, educator, specialist,
management,etc.)

Student: (annual membership fee $35.00)
For students currently enrolled in an accredited residential interior
design program.

Home Furnishings Sales Specialist: (annual membership fee $75.00)
For salespersons working in retail homefurnishings stores.

Sales/Manufacturer Representative: (annual membership fee $60.00)
For persons working directly for the manufacturer selling product to
retail establishments. (Note this category does not include sales people
working in a retail store)

You will need your IDS national membership number to
complete your application locally, and students will need proof
of current enrollment as part of your application.
